Arabic text is stored without Unicode normalisation or editorial alteration. Opening Bismillahs are retained exactly as supplied.
English interpretation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Pickthall entries were extracted from Project Gutenberg ebook 16955. Line wrapping was joined; wording and punctuation were not rewritten. Four malformed reference headers were mapped to 17:33, 39:46, 45:32 and 56:26. All 6,236 references match the Arabic metadata. Gutenberg identifies the source as public domain in the USA; this is not a claim of worldwide clearance or independent verification against the 1930 print edition.
Chapter, juz and page metadata
Tanzil Quran metadata supplies chapter names, verse counts, 30 juz boundaries and 604 Madani page boundaries. The XML declares a CC-BY licence. Source files, hashes and transformations are recorded with the project.
Prayer times and Qibla
Adhan provides astronomical prayer-time calculations and the Qibla bearing. The selected method, Asr convention, timezone and local offset are visible. These are calculations, not mosque congregation announcements.
Hadith and specialist guidance
We link directly to established source entries rather than republish unlicensed databases. Hadith links retain their collection and reference. Inclusion of a link does not imply a partnership, endorsement or universal agreement with every position.
Checks and limitations
Dataset integrity was checked on 28 September 2026. Hash and reference checks show fidelity to the downloaded source; they are not a scholarly review. Recitations, tafsir and word-by-word datasets are not hosted without established permissions.
