How is the Quran text checked?
The Arabic Quran is reproduced from Tanzil Uthmani v1.1 and checked against the stored source during every build. Published translations of meanings are identified separately; AI does not generate or rewrite the scripture.

What does a source check prove?
The checks compare every verse reference and text value with the downloaded edition. They protect against accidental changes in this website. They are technical checks, not an independent scholarly review of the source edition or its interpretation.
Which translation am I reading?
English uses Marmaduke Pickthall. Other translated editions identify a named published translation from QuranEnc, with version and source information. The Arabic interface retains the original Arabic and offers the identified English interpretation. Read the source notice in your chosen edition.
How should I check a passage?
Open the whole chapter to keep an individual verse in context. Compare the source notice and edition before reporting a mismatch. A translation conveys an interpretation of meaning and is distinct from the Arabic Quran.
- Read the complete verse and its reference.
- Open the chapter and the source information.
- Use the correction page if you find a specific discrepancy.
