Why do my prayer times differ from my mosque?

MyDeenPath calculates prayer start times from your location and settings. A mosque may publish congregation times, use a different calculation method or apply local adjustments. Compare the same date, place and type of time before changing a setting.

Check these settings in order

  1. Confirm the city or coordinates, date and timezone.
  2. Use the calculation method recommended by your mosque or local authority.
  3. Check Standard or Hanafi Asr against the timetable you follow.
  4. Apply a local minute adjustment only when a trusted local source recommends it.

Which differences need extra care?

Fajr and Isha angles vary between methods. The selected timezone handles daylight saving. Indonesia and Malaysia presets do not add official local safety offsets. The Umm al-Qura preset does not automatically apply the additional Ramadan Isha interval. High-latitude estimates can be unsuitable in extreme polar conditions.

What should I follow locally?

Check congregation arrangements with your mosque and compare a trusted regional timetable. Our regional links help you find local information. The monthly table and calendar download use your saved settings; export again after correcting them.
