Your private data

Where are my location, notes and progress stored?

Saved notes, bookmarks, reading progress and prayer settings are stored in this browser on your device. They are not uploaded to a MyDeenPath account. Someone using the same browser profile may be able to read them.

What stays on the device?

Prayer and Qibla calculations run in your browser. Location permission is requested only when you press the location button, and you can choose a city or enter coordinates instead. Zakat inputs are processed locally and are not saved. Restore reads a backup locally without uploading it.

What still uses the network?

Loading or updating the site requests public files from Cloudflare. Hosting can process IP addresses and requested URLs. Search queries appear in the address bar and may remain in browser history or server logs. External source and audio links follow those providers’ privacy practices.

How can I control my data?

My Path lets you export progress, restore a backup, remove offline downloads or clear local data. Removing downloads keeps your notes; clearing local data removes saved progress after confirmation. An exported backup can contain private reflections, so store it carefully.
